The third session in the 3 part series this academic year will be ‘Learn the Child:
Supporting learning, promoting resilience. This course is suitable for who lives or works with vulnerable and traumatised children.
This day will focus on providing designated teachers with the skills they need to train and support other members of staff in their schools on the needs of looked after children.
What will be covered:
- Needs and interventions: Developing an attachment aware school
- Analyse observed behaviour to assess needs and plan and review interventions
- Develop skills in planning, implementing and reviewing needs-led interventions
- Implications for practice: Applying this knowledge and understanding in practice
Your attendance is essential, as this training will provide a key opportunity for learning from experts in the field, receiving support from the virtual school and networking with other designated teachers in the London Borough of Lewisham.
