Celebrating Ethnically Diverse women and girls 13 – 18
Lewisham Safer Communities is inviting girls and young women aged 13 -18 to EmpowHER, a FREE day of empowerment, connection and celebration at Riverside Youth Club on Thursday 29th October, 12pm–5:30pm.
EmpowHER will bring girls and young women together for interactive workshops, activities and conversations exploring confidence, identity, culture, sisterhood, safety and healthy relationships, while giving them a positive space to connect, have their voices heard and celebrate who they are.
Why are we doing it?
The event has been developed in response to local concerns affecting girls and young women, including safety, exploitation, adultification, discrimination, bullying, unhealthy relationships and the growing influence of online and social media pressures.
EmpowHER takes a positive, preventative approach, creating a safe and supportive environment where young women can build confidence, strengthen connections and talk openly about the issues that matter to them.
