Lewisham Virtual School work with designated teachers within placement schools and governing bodies to ensure that looked after children are a priority, their attainment is monitored, progress is supported and their experience at school is positive.
Schools have a responsibility to ensure that an experienced designated teacher is in post to take on the role of prioritising and supporting children in care.
Virtual schools maintain a consistent relationship with Schools with continued discussion regarding the looked after children in their schools.
